Chipmunk Energy Website Privacy Policy

Last Modified: April 22, 2025

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Chipmunk Energy LLC (“Company”) collects, uses, and shares visitor data from the www.chipmunkenergy.com website (“Website”). Please review the Policy and if you do not agree to its terms, do not use the Website. By using the Website, you agree to this Policy.

1. What is the Purpose of the Website?

The Website is a way for U.S. businesses to learn about and contact the Company. It is not a method for purchasing goods, subscribing to services, or engaging in financial transactions with the Company. It is intended for use by U.S. business professionals. It is not intended for use by children, adults in their individual capacity, or businesses located outside the United States.

2. What is the Scope of this Policy?

This Policy applies only to information collected on the Website. It does not apply to the exchange of information between You and the Company by other means, such as phone, email, mail, or text. The Website may contain links to other websites that are not operated by the Company. If You navigate to a third party's website, this Policy does not apply to Your activity there.

3. What Data is Collected through the Website?

The Website collects two types of information: (i) Usage Data and (ii) Contact Data. Usage Data includes information about how You arrived at the Website and Your activity on the Website. Usage Data is gathered using Google Analytics, which is described in Section 4. Contact Data is the information You enter in the Contact Form (e.g., business address, business phone number, etc.) You have no obligation to fill out the Contact Form and should only do so if You would like the Company to contact Your business directly.

4. How Google Analytics Works?

Google Analytics uses “cookies” to gather information about Website visits. (Section 5 describes what cookies are and how they work.) The main data captured and stored by Google Analytics includes: (i) the IP address of the device You use to visit the Website; (ii) Your device type and operating system; (iii) the Web browser You use to find the Website; (v) the Website pages You visit; and (vi) the time You spend on Website pages. Although Google Analytics assigns a number to each unique visitor, which is tracked over time to see if the same visitor has multiple visits, Google Analytics does not collect Your name, email address, mailing address, or phone number. For more information about Google Analytics, visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

5. Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files stored on Your web browser that save data about Your visit to a website and Your browsing history. Session Cookies are temporary cookies stored on Your device that expire as soon as You close Your web browser. Persistent Cookies remain on Your device when You go offline. The Website uses both Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies. There are two primary ways You can control cookies. First, you can adjust the cookie settings on Your web browser, adjustments that will generally apply across all websites that You visit using that browser. Second, You can adjust your cookie settings specifically on the Website by using the Cookie Settings tool accessible from the footer. Any adjustments made there will only apply to cookies used on our Website. You can change these Website-specific settings any time You visit the Website. The only cookies that are not impacted by Your settings are those Essential Cookies needed for the Website to operate properly.

6. How Does the Company Use Collected Data?

The Company uses Usage Data to improve visitors’ experiences on the Website. For example, if Usage Data shows that a specific webpage is rarely viewed, the Company might remove or replace that page. The Company uses Contact Data to communicate directly with those businesses that have submitted the Contact Form, indicating that they would like to be contacted directly by the Company.

7. With Whom Does the Company Share Collected Data?

The Company does not sell or share Usage Data or Contact Data with third parties. Because the Company uses Google Analytics, some data may reside on Google servers.  The Company is subject to the Google Analytics Terms of Service, which can be found at https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/.

8. Questions about this Policy?
